Research, analysis and policy-thinking are the backbones of international relations. My aim is to rethink and advocate for new policy frameworks that recognise and reinforce the need for greater resilience and progress towards the SDGs 2030, especially when it comes to equality, peace and security. I add to these debates by providing analysis, ideas and opinions about pressing policy developments and challenges.

Digital, climate, health, inequality, and outer space are some of the world's current issues. Achieving the UN 2030 Agenda for the Sustainable Development Goals requires fresh and innovative approaches to our multifaceted and ever-changing reality, so I always use the 2030 Agenda as my analytical backdrop. This allows for a comprehensive understanding of compound issues and opportunities to achieve the global goals.
international career
As a big fan of gatebreaking and rather than gatekeeping, I am committed to creating a supportive community of fellow like-minded internationalists. By sharing my journey and the pieces of various career paths, experiences, lessons learned and tools, I hope that more people will feel motivated to explore their passions, serve the greater good and remain committed to a more sustainable and progressive world.

I am an award-winning foreign policy and international security consultant, deeply passionate about policymaking within the 2030 UN Global Goals. Advocate, writer and entrepreneur, I'm also a former OSCE fellow and have spoken at NATO, the Portuguese MoD, embassies, universities, and civil society projects.
I am a proud graduate from the LSE and Essex University, UK, where I learnt that inequality and insecurity go hand in hand and that multilateralism, bottom-up and people-centred policymaking are the most effective tools to change the world. I have worked in business, diplomacy, think tank and research roles focusing on policy analysis, strategic communication and public affairs, namely at the LSE Centre for WPS, the EU Council, and the British Foreign Office (FCDO).
In 2023, I unexpectedly solo travelled through South America for five life-changing months to re-energise, experiment and think about my next steps, and that's how TGD began. I am a passionate traveler, hiker and beachgoer, and a retired karate and equestrian dressage athlete. Born in Lisbon, I've also lived in the UK and Brazil.
