About The Gender Diplomat

The story

The Gender Diplomat was born out of a simple but powerful belief: that global security conversations need to evolve.

Founded in January 2024 as a newsletter, the goal was always to bring fresh stories and analysis to international affairs, with a focus on foreign policy and diplomacy.

We have all seen firsthand the gaps in how global security issues are addressed —particularly in the areas of human rights, insecurity and inequality. Too often, these crucial elements are sidelined or treated as secondary, so The Gender Diplomat launched as a multimedia platform and strategic policy consulting hub to amplify expertise, policies and stories that often go unheard.

The mission statement

Guided by the values of collaboration, innovation, leadership and impact, The Gender Diplomat strives to be a leading multimedia and consulting platform for communications, policy thinking and public engagement for new perspectives and action on peace and international security.

Through multimedia content, expert commentary and community building, the goal is to inform and shape the global narrative by building bridges between policy, action and key target audiences. The long term ambition is to work with and influence how governments, multilateral institutions, and civil society approach peace and security — by bridging policy and action.
