Media and public speaking engagements

Unpacking global issues for global audiences through public speaking

So much is happening in the world, chances are you’ve heard of The Gender Diplomat through recent public speaking engagements, whether in TV appearances, newspaper columns or debate panels.

The Gender Diplomat’s most recent public speaking engagements have included an invitation to moderate the 2024 GLOBSEC Forum panel on the security context in the Mediterranean and Middle East; acting as master’s of ceremonies at the 46th NATO Committee on Gender Perspectives annual conference; debating the role of women in peace processes at the G7+; a keynote speech on gender in diplomacy and defence policy in the Portuguese Navy; and a panel discussion on the occasion of the official launch of the Ministry of Defence's Equality Plan in 2022. Having won the Portuguese Ministry of Defence’s DGDPN first prize for original research, the award-winning essay on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and foreign and security policy is published and available via the Directorate General for National Defence Policy in Lisbon. There is also a short publication on domestic violence against women in the EU at the London School of Economics (LSE), in London.

A page with all public speaking engagements to date will be made available soon.
